What Kind Of Tile To Use Around Fireplace Slate Tiles Over Existing Wood Fireplace. Adhesive Questions??

Slate tiles over existing wood fireplace. Adhesive questions?? - what kind of tile to use around fireplace

I have an older fireplace (1950) painted is corrugated timber. This is the only way to describe a type of food asbestos, cord or old - on the ridges.

The cover is about 1 foot wide. My father gave me a box of slate tile that more than a step in the repair of the left front was, and I want in the forest around my house to respond mortar etc.

I saw a tile (and a man who did not need it :-)) the size, etc. is no problem. I just want what type of glue used to know. Since it back to accede to a vertical surface lot immediately to prevent slipping.

What kind of liquid nails to work things? I'll either Lowe's or Home Depot within a few hours, would leave but certain ideas, like you. Each ºOught is much appreciated!

Thank you for your participation - Have you ever such a thing?

Thank you again!

somewhere beneath the decorative "corrugated" facade is the basic structure. that, then a 1 / 4 "to 1 / 2" wire mest structure and the brackets with screws or other mesh will be sought, and flush with the surface. The adhesive witll take the mesh and hold better. What is the glue, the Board of fun, I ask cuz Slate Home Depot has very little material that works well. Proly mortar or grout on the Commission.
